CANCELLED: Investigating “Sioux Affidavits”

Visit Historic Pond House in Pond Dakota Mission Park to hear researcher Jane Hayden-Hart share her findings about the 1855-56 “Sioux Affidavits” which were taken from those trying to establish mixed blood status in order to receive benefits from the Prairie Du Chien 1830 treaty. 

Presentation begins at 2 p.m.
House tours take place at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. 

The Pond House is open year round on Sundays from 1:30 – 4 p.m. Admission to programs and tours is free for Pond Dakota Heritage Society members and youth through high school. Suggested donation of $2 for non-member adults.
