  • March 9—Formally activated incident command structure for Bloomington, Edina and Richfield
  • March 11—World Health Organization declares SARS-CoV2 a pandemic
  • March 17 – 27—Community mitigation measures began
  • March 27 – May 18—Stay-at-home order issued
  • June 10—“Dial back Minnesota” began reopening areas of society
  • July 25—Mask mandate put in place
  • September 1—Testing event at Kennedy High School
  • December 14—First Pfizer vaccine shipment arrives in Minnesota
  • December 28—First Moderna shipment arrives at Bloomington Public Health
  • January 4, 2021—First dose of Moderna vaccine administered by Bloomington Public Health at Fire Station 1, and in Edina at their Fire Station 1.
  • January 21, 2021—First vaccine clinic at Jefferson High School for school health and healthcare workers, with 511 doses given.
  • February 1, 2021—Public Health begins regular vaccine clinics at Bloomington Civic Plaza.
  • Week of February 22 —Bloomington Public Health administers over 1,000 doses of vaccine in three days.
  • March 6, 2021—Mall of America vaccine clinic site opens.
