Psychological First Aid Training

Bloomington Public Health, on behalf of the Public Health Alliance of Bloomington, Edina and Richfield will host an upcoming Psychological First Aid training. 

Psychological First Aid (PFA) is an approach used for assisting people following a traumatic event, natural disaster, public health emergency, or personal crisis. 

Training objectives
  • Understand the foundation of Psychological First Aid
  • Deepen understanding of the signs and symptoms of stress related to crisis and disaster events
  • Apply psychological first aid intervention model to disaster relief

Psychological First Aid training is designed not only for mental health professionals, but first responders, health care providers, school crisis response teams, faith-based organizations, disaster relief organizations, CERT and the Medical Reserve Corps.

This training is made possible by Washington County Public Health Department, Minnesota Department of Health, the Bloomington Fire Department, and the Public Health Alliance of Bloomington, Edina, and Richfield.

RSVPs required by Wednesday, April 4. 
Parking is available in the yellow sections (indicated below) at Bloomington Fire Station 1 and Oxboro Evangelical Free Church (overflow parking).
