Bloomington Parks and Recreation community gardens

Information about reserving a garden plot from Parks and Recreation

Sign-up for these gardens begins January 18 for returning gardeners who are requesting the same plots and March 1 for new gardeners: 952-563-8877 or

Plots are $39.05 each. A household is allowed up to three plots.

Financial assistance is available. It applies to all Parks and Recreation programming for the whole family for the whole year.

City of Edina community garden
  • One location: Yorktown Park, 7335 York Ave (next to the Southdale YMCA)
  • $30 per 10’ x 10’ plot, $35 per 10’ x 15’ plot (as of 2016)
  • Friday, Jan. 27: Registration opens for Edina residents
  • Friday, Feb. 17: Registration opens for people who work in Edina
  • Monday, March 6: Registration opens to all

  • You must sign up in person at the Wood Lake Nature Center (6170 Lake Shore Drive) on these dates:
    • Richfield Residents: Saturday, April 1, 10:00 a.m.
    • Non-Residents: Saturday, April 8, 10:00 a.m.
  • $45 per 15’ x 20’plot, up to 2 plots per household
