Public Information Release: Animal Cruelty Investigation

On 11/18/2021 Bloomington Police Community Service Officers (CSO) responded to a report of a found, injured dog in the area of 106th street and Morgan Avenue. Community Service Officers located the dog and observed obvious injuries to the face and body.

The dog was brought to a local veterinary clinic for care. Through investigation detectives were able to obtain video and still photos of a suspect vehicle. Two individuals from the vehicle left the dog near the road after shooting at it with a BB Gun and backing over the dog as they left the area. Additional investigation led to photographs of the vehicle occupants making a gasoline purchase in the east metro. The vehicle used in the animal cruelty is a stolen vehicle and was recovered in Saint Paul. The dog is in continuing veterinarian care following eye removal surgery, and procedures to remove BB pellets from its right leg and other body areas.
