BPD recruiting youth for explorer program

The Bloomington Police Department is now accepting applications for its Explorer Post program. Now in its 50th year, the program allows youth to work with police officers and learn about various law enforcement career paths. Explorers meet once a week on Wednesday nights until the state competition, April 20 – 23, 2023. At the weekly meetings, there will be opportunities to learn valuable leadership skills, receive hands-on training, make new friends and get involved in community service projects. Participants must be between 14 and 20 years old, be of good moral character and be willing to volunteer time in the community.
