HRA Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list

Waiting list status: Closed

All Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) waiting lists are closed to new applications.

If you applied when the lists were open in 2014, we conducted a random, computer-generated lottery of all applications for 1,500 positions on the Section 8 voucher waiting list and 700 positions on the three-bedroom project-based voucher waiting list.

You can check your status on the lists by going to If it shows you as active, you made it through the lottery and are on the waiting list. If you are shown as inactive, you are not on the waiting list.

The Housing Choice Voucher Rent Assistance Program helps very low-income households with rent payments. To qualify, annual gross household income cannot exceed:
