Portland Avenue Side Streets (E 101st St - E 99th St)

Gas main installation is scheduled to start on Portland Avenue at E 102nd Street and work north toward E 98th Street starting Tuesday, October 2. This work will require side street closures along the west side of Portland Avenue, including E 101st Street, Layman Lane, E 100th Street, Portland Place and E 99th Street as work progresses north on Portland Avenue, starting with E 101st Street. A detour will be provided for all closures, which will utilize the side streets that are currently open. Access to only 1 or 2 side streets will be closed at a time to allow for access into the neighborhood. This work on Portland Avenue is anticipated to take approximately 5 weeks to complete and one lane of traffic will remain open on Portland Avenue. This is related to the CenterPoint Energy Beltline project.

Old Cedar Avenue

This work is anticipated to be complete in the fall of 2018. In this area of Old Cedar Avenue, including the parking lot, will remain closed to all vehicle, foot, and bicycle traffic for the duration of construction for the protection of both the users and construction crews. The closure includes access to the Old Cedar Avenue Bridge.

The Old Cedar Avenue Bridge remains closed, and will be closed until approximately November 2018.
