Come As You Are! 

A Pride Exhibition Celebrating the LGBTQ+ Community and 50 years of the Twin Cities Pride Festival
June 3 - July 8, 2022
Opening Reception: Friday, June 3, 6:00pm - 8:00pm
The reception and gallery are FREE and open to all.

The City of Bloomington’s Human Rights Commission, Artistry, Twin Cities Pride, and other community partners have teamed up to produce, Come as You Are!, a Pride art exhibition celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and the 50th Anniversary of the Twin Cities Pride Festival. The exhibit is a collection of artworks by emerging and established Minnesota artists selected by a curatorial review panel made up of community members, artists, and arts administrators.

The 2022 Bloomington Pride Celebration Event aims to create a fun, inclusive and welcoming setting for all LGBTQ+ community members to honor and celebrate their contributions in advancing equity and justice in our community and across Minnesota. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Twin Cities Pride, the City of Bloomington, along with community partners, will host a Pride Celebration Event on August 13, 4 – 8 p.m.

Organizations, businesses, and artisans who are interested in exhibiting at the event must communicate meaningful information relevant to the event’s focus on support of the LGBTQ+ community. Prioritization will be granted to vendors that are LGBTQ+ owned and/or operated, or who have a primary mission to serve the LGBTQ+ community. Applications will be open until June 18.

This is the fifth year the Human Rights Commission brought forward a proclamation to support the LGBTQ+ community.  The proclamation speaks to tolerance, justice, and dignity for all and was presented by the City Council on June 7.
