Extra recycling piles up quickly during the holidays. After you fill your recycling cart, place extra recyclable materials next to the cart. Cardboard should be flattened and stacked into a pile no larger than three feet wide and one foot tall. Bundle the stacked cardboard with string or twine. If you regularly have extra recycling, you can request a second recycling cart at no cost. As a reminder, recyclables should be placed loose in the recycling cart. Plastic bags, tissue paper and shiny, plastic or foil-lined wrapping paper are not accepted for recycling. For more information, visit
