New electric vehicles rolling in
The future of automobiles is electric, and the City of Bloomington is embracing this future. This fall, the City will purchase two electric vehicles (EVs) for its fleet, plus two more in 2020.
“The primary benefit will be significantly lower fuel and maintenance costs,” Fleet Manager Michael Keim said.
Additionally, the City is installing two EV chargers at Civic Plaza, 1800 West Old Shakopee Road, for free public use. These chargers will be located at the north end of the parking lot near the Arts Center entrance. Find out more at blm.mn/sustainability.
