While plastic bags are marked with a recycling symbol, they are not recyclable at your curbside.

All recycling needs to be loose in your recycling cart. Why? Let’s count the reasons. Plastic bags get tangled in recycling sorting equipment, create safety hazards and increase the costs to recycle all materials.  Additionally, bagged recyclables will likely not be recycled because processes are automated and workers cannot open the bags.
