Looking to become more involved? With more than 300 volunteers a year, Human Services offers a variety of opportunities for all ages.

Volunteers may choose to assist at one time special events or as an on-going basis with programs and activities.

Available Volunteer Opportunities:

Boutique Worker

Looking for volunteers with previous retail experience, good math aptitude, and ability to work as part of a 3-person team. Duties include merchandise display, assisting customers and completing sales purchases. 

Dates needed:

  • Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays, 10 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.

Time commitment:

  • 4.5 hours

Fare For All

Looking for volunteers to assist in the monthly sale of food packages. Assist in bringing customer purchases to their cars. Help with setting up distribution and unloading food packages from truck. Ability to lift 30 lbs and stand for 2 hours required. 

Dates needed:

  • Third Wednesday of each month, 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Time commitment:

  • 3 hours

English as a Second Language (ESL) Tutor

Assist adults to learn English through guided lessons provided by a lead tutor. Learning includes reading, writing, and pronunciation. All instruction and tutoring is done in English. Knowledge of a foreign language is not required but a good understanding of English grammar.

Dates needed:

  • Mondays, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.

Time commitment:

  • 2 hours
