Volunteer with Human Services

Looking to become more involved? With more than 300 volunteers a year, Human Services offers a variety of opportunities for all ages.

Volunteers may choose to assist at one time special events or as an on-going basis with programs and activities.

Available Volunteer Opportunities:

Garden Club Worker

  • Location: Creekside Community Center
  • Responsibilities: Participate with other garden club members on designing, planting, and maintaining gardens at Creekside Center.
  • Days available: Sunday – Saturday
  • Time commitment: 2 – 15 hours per month

Ceramics Kiln Worker

  • Location: Creekside Community Center
  • Responsibilities: learn how to load kilns and set them to fire.  Must be able to lift and move 15lbs repetitively.
  • Days available: Tuesday and Thursday
  • Time commitment: 30 minutes 1 or more times a week.  Must be available to start at 8 a.m.

Fare for All  Worker—Substitutes

  • Location: Creekside Community Center
  • Responsibilities:  Assist in the monthly sale of food packages.  Assist in bringing customer purchases to their cars.  Help with  setting up distribution and unloading food packages from truck.  Ability to lift 30 lbs. and stand for 2 hours required.
  • Days available: Third Wednesday of each month from 10:30  a.m.— 1:30 p.m. 
  • Time commitment: up to 3 hours per month as needed.
