The Creekside Garden Club and Bloomington Human Services invites you to join Master Gardener Dean Davis as he discusses important end of season tasks that will prepare your garden for its restful slumber and ensure a more productive and successful spring season next year.
- Close down your grass gardens
- Pack up your vegetable/fruit gardens
- Power down your annual flower gardens
- Divide up perennial gardens
- Put pottery and art objects to bed
- Plant a color pot of spring bulbs for spring
Dean has collected, grown, and currently enjoys over 300 different varieties of daylilies on his half acre lot. It contains hundreds of hosta, many clematis vines, a large raingarden, perennials, large container pots, and many self-created art objects. Dean’s Master Gardening interests include historic garden planning at and construct Dakota Heritage Village on the Dakota County Fairgrounds, adaptive gardening techniques for seniors with dementia, plant donations to Habitat for Humanity gardening projects, and drip irrigation
