Gideon Pond; A Short Bloomington History

Meet early Bloomington settler and missionary to the Dakota Indians, Rev. Gideon Pond, portrayed by Jay Ludwig. Gideon was the founder of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church and with his wife, Agnes, built a brick house in Bloomington in 1856 which is now a museum. Hear hilarious and poignant stories of this frontier family that included 16 children! 

Program is free and during the daily Creekside lunch. Lunch reservations are not required to see the program. If you would like to join us for lunch, registration is required by Tuesday, December 17. Fee for lunch based on eligibility.
