Get Connected. Stay Connected.

Wednesday, September 15, 2021 - 9 a.m.–12 p.m.

Learn how to get connected and stay connected by laughing together with a nationally renowned speaker, hearing about volunteer and job opportunities from local organizations, and discovering tools and resources to help us connect.

  • FREE event
  • Intended for adults age 50 and above and anyone working with older adults. 
  • Door prizes!
  • COVID-19 guidelines will be posted at the entry. Masks will be required, even if fully vaccinated.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: Although presented by Creekside Community Center and Bloomington Public Health, this event takes place at Bloomington Center for the Arts, which is on the north end of Bloomington Civic Plaza. 
Brenda Elsagher

Brenda Elsagher’s “Your Glasses Are On Top of Your Head!” helps us see how we are surrounded by humor, (we just have to look for it) and how laughter can make us healthier and better able to cope with stress, aggravation and life’s challenging moments. Brenda is a dynamic keynote speaker, award winning author, and 20-year veteran of comedy who encourages us to lighten up as we juggle our retirement, career, family and community life.

  • Connecting Virtually and Zoom 101 sessions: 10:15 & 11 a.m.
