The City Council holds a 30-minute listening session before each regular City Council meeting. This time is for community members to speak with the Council about their priorities and concerns.

Community members are encouraged to register to speak by contacting the Council secretary at 952-563-8782 or by sending an email to no later than 2 p.m. on the meeting date. You will be asked to provide your name and a summary of the subject on which you wish to speak with the Council. Each speaker or group will have up to 10 minutes to talk with the Mayor, City Council and City staff.

Listening sessions are held in the Chadwick Conference Room on the second floor of Civic Plaza, 1800 West Old Shakopee Road. For more information, visit
