Teen Video Boot Camp returns

Bloomington Community Access Television (BCAT) and Southwest TV will hold three youth camps this summer. Now in its third year, Teen Video Boot Camp, is for youth ages 12 – 17 who are interested in creating videos. In one week, students will learn how to use professional video production equipment and produce a short narrative film as a group.

The program costs $50, and will take place June 22 – 26, July 20 – 24 and August 17 – 21, from 1 – 4 p.m. All three camps with be structured the same, and include a screening of the film for students and parents on the last day. In addition to the camp, participants will receive a one-year membership to BCAT and certification in their camera class so that they can continue to make their own videos.
