Local Board of Appeal and Equalization meeting

Due to COVID-19, City facilities, including Bloomington Civic Plaza, are currently closed to the public. Some or all members of the Board will participate in the April 8, 2020 meeting by telephone rather than by being personally present. 

2020 property assessment testimony 

If you have questions or disagree with the classification or estimated market value of your property for the 2020 assessment, please contact the City of Bloomington Assessor’s Office at assessing@Bloomingtonmn.gov

If your concerns are not resolved after communicating with the City Assessor, you may testify to the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization on Wednesday, April 8 at 6 p.m in the City Council Chambers. Due to COVID-19, some or all members of the Board will participate by telephone rather than be personally present.

The Local Board of Appeal and Equalization will accept testimony in writing or video only. Email and video testimony may be sent to assessing@Bloomingtonmn.gov. You may submit written testimony to:

Testimony may be submitted to the Board until it reconvenes on April 22, 2020. Testimony received the week of April 22 may not be reviewed by staff but will be added to the Board’s agenda in order to preserve applicant’s appeal rights to the County Board of Appeal.
