Continental Ballet presents: The Nutcracker

Continental Ballet Company celebrates the holiday season with a timeless classic, the Nutcracker Ballet, at Bloomington Center for the Arts' Schneider Theater.

Clara is at her family's holiday celebration when her magical godfather gives her a gift of a nutcracker. Watch as the magic unfolds and she is transported to the land of the Sugarplum Fairy.

This is a professional production of the Nutcracker Ballet with adult dancers under the direction of Riet Velthuisen.  Her European training is reflected in her choreography and precise technique.  While she chooses to eliminate the battle scene, the story remains true to nature with a milder conflict, magic and beauty, and all the joys of Tchaikovsky's music. Learn more about Continental Ballet.
