OVERVIEW, POLICY AND INSTRUCTIONS

The Bloomington Parks and Recreation Arts in the Parks program welcomes food trucks to participate as food vendors for events taking place during the summer of 2024. Some events will feature a single food vendor and others will have multiple vendors. Please read the following overview and instructions.

Arts in the Parks/Special Events Food Truck Overview

Arts in the Parks/Special Events Food Vendor OverviewIf chosen, you would be either the sole vendor, or (more often) one of several food vendors at an event. Events for which food vending is needed include Summer Fete on July 3 at Normandale Lake Park, the Thursday Night Blockbuster Series at the Normandale Lake Bandshell, the Wednesday night Midweek Music and Market Series at Civic Plaza, Kites and Bites event at Valley View Park, select Sunday Fundays, and assorted other dates throughout the summer.

Event staff reserves the right to set the food truck rotation schedule, and makes the final determinations for all food vending. All dates will be scheduled in advance and confirmed with vendors. Vendors are responsible for any applicable permit, licensing, and event fees. Food trucks must bring their own generators, and must give a minumum of 24 hours notice of inability to show for an event. No call-no shows are subject to losing future vending opportunities.

WEATHER -All events will be held outdoors rain or shine. Cancellation/Postponement of the Market may be done by Market staff in following city emergency preparedness guidelines.

All food trucks will need to pass community inspection by the City of Bloomington Environmental Health Department and obtain required licenses through the City.
